BRANOfilter benefits from tailored waste handling solution

BRANOfilter GmbH is an international company based in southern Germany, specialising in filter systems for households, industry and retail. With nearly 40 years of experience, BRANOfilter develops and manufactures solutions for cleaning and monitoring air quality.

The first connection between BRANOfilter and Lundberg Tech was made at the FILTECH exhibition in Cologne in 2022.

“During our initial talk at the show, the automated waste handling systems from Lundberg Tech seemed to be a perfect solution for us”, says Reinhard Enzelberger, Managing Director at BRANOfilter.

Following the exhibition, BRANOfilter contacted Lundberg Tech to explore an automated waste handling solution that could handle waste from a new production line making fleece bag filters for vacuum cleaners.

After an onsite visit, Lundberg Tech proposed an All-in-one Unit consisting of a WasteTech 400 and a WasteCompactor 250. The system was designed to handle trims and die-cuts from four production lines and a total of ten suction points. The order was placed in July 2022, and installation followed later the same year.

“Our new waste handling system made an immediate difference by eliminating a manual process that had been very time-consuming,” explains Enzelberger. “That is also why, when we added four new machines to our production at the end of 2022, it was clear that we needed to expand the Lundberg Tech system.”

Working closely with Lundberg Tech, the upgraded setup was implemented in mid-2023.

“We felt completely at ease with the system expansion,” Enzelberger continues. “We upgraded to a larger WasteTech 600 system, along with several additional components tailored to our needs. Lundberg Tech was very flexible throughout the process, ensuring our production continued smoothly.”

The benefits of the new system were clear right away.

“Our optimised waste handling process has positively changed our production flow,” Enzelberger shares. “Previously, waste was collected through individual systems for trims and punch-outs, involving multiple collection units and a time-intensive disposal process. We also faced noise and dust issues near the production lines.”

He adds: “All those disadvantages are long gone. Now we have a single collection point, reduced waste volume, cleaner working conditions, filtered process air, shorter walking distances for operators, and fewer internal logistics. We are very happy with our investment.”

Lundberg Tech looks forward to supporting BRANOfilter with any future upgrades to ensure their waste handling system continues to match production demands.
