For Papier-Schäfer the WasteTech All-in-one Unit has proven to be a valuable investment leading to an optimised waste handling process
Papier-Schäfer GmbH & Co. KG, located in Weinheim in Germany, specialises in the production of self-adhesive labels for various industries. Already in 2006 the company received their first ISO certificate and is also very active in further implementing environmental measures.
Driven by their commitment to continuous improvement, Papier-Schäfer recently selected Lundberg Tech as their supplier for a waste handling unit. This decision was e.g., made to further enhance their environmental impact and create better working conditions for their employees.
After the installation of the automated WasteTech 140 All-in-one Unit, the positive effects on Papier- Schäfer’s daily waste handling process became apparent.
“Soon after the installation we began to see the positive impact the WasteTech is having on our daily waste handling process”, explains Mareike Schäfer, Geschäftsführerin (Managing Director), Papier-Schäfer.
She adds,“With the automated system from Lundberg Tech we eliminated the manual capturing of the trims, saving time, and increasing efficiency. Further to this we experienced a significant reduction in waste volume, decreasing it to about 40% of the initial volume, relieving our employees of heavy lifting”.
Schäfer further adds,
“The process optimisation achieved with the WasteTech has convinced us that we have made the right decision to invest in an automated waste handling solution”.
