Case Study: I.D. Images was so pleased with their MatrixCompactor from Lundberg Tech, they bought a second one

The waste is so packed down and dense - it’s like picking up a bowling ball. We used to fill up our dumpster in a day-and-a-half, now we go all week. It’s really impressive.

I.D. Images, a multi-modality converter headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio with additional facilities in Cincinnati, Chicago, Charlotte, California, Tennessee and Arkansas, is “dedicated to improving the environment with best practices.” With large amounts of waste filling their bins on a daily basis, Tom Kubis, director of production, knew he needed a solution for applications where “you need to be able to get the matrix away cleanly and easily.”

I.D. Images purchased a Lundberg Tech MatrixCompactor 140 for their Charlotte facility where the system compacts waste from bulk stock, thermal transfer, and direct thermal applications .The unit was so effective that they purchased a second unit in 2018 and installed it at their Arkansas plant, which runs prime labels as well as shelf vinyl applications.

Tom and his operators are thrilled with the results. “The waste is so packed down and dense - it’s like picking up a bowling ball. We used to fill up our dumpster in a day-and-a-half, now we can go all week. It’s really impressive.”
