40 years of dedication: a tribute to Frank!
When Frank walked through the doors of the former H. Lundberg Maskinfabrik on 10 March 1986, there was no job posting for a machine operator. Nevertheless, the decision to hire him was made immediately. His technical expertise and ability to teach – including the courses he had previously held for several of the company’s employees – made a strong impression from the start.
Diversity of tasks
Looking back on his 40 years with the company, it is the diversity of tasks that stands out the most. In the 1980s, the company produced a wide range of specialised solutions based on what was believed to be in demand. Granulators made up only a small part of the product mix. The rest included repairs of machines and machine parts, production of sealing units for the construction of the Great Belt Bridge, and even the development of sporting pistols, for which Frank created the prototype.
Much has changed over the years
Since then, much has changed. The company was acquired by Leif Hansen and Karsten Klein in 2009, renamed Lundberg Tech in 2010, and made a strategic decision in 2011 to focus solely on waste handling and Granulators. Frank has followed this development closely – not just as an employee, but as part of the technical backbone of the production team.
Growth
In 2012, Lundberg Tech moved to its current location in Lille Skensved. Initially, the company occupied only the middle building. Over time, growth required more space, and today operations span three buildings – which have once again become too small. The upcoming move to a newly built facility in 2026 will be yet another significant milestone that Frank will take part in.
Frank’s responsibilities
Throughout the years, Frank has taken on many different responsibilities. He orders materials for his work, creates technical drawings, and has been behind the designs of many of the company’s Granulators. Still, his most important area of responsibility is milling – where his experience, precision, and calm approach are hard to match.
Lundberg Tech’s development
The company’s development has been both visible and meaningful, and Frank describes the transformation in his own words:
“In the past, we repaired machines and carried out special tasks for other companies. Today, I am like a factory within the factory.”
The journey
For Frank, it has been a privilege to be part of the journey for so many years. He greatly values the collaboration and positive culture:
“I think we are good at sparring with each other, and the door to the management is always open. At the same time, I value the trust and independence I am given in my job.”
When he is not busy in production, Frank is currently building a new garage at home.
Lunch with colleagues
This remarkable milestone was celebrated with a cosy and well deserved lunch in the company of colleagues, good spirits, and classic “Danish hygge”. A celebration not only of 40 years of employment, but also of a person who has contributed to Lundberg Tech’s development for four decades.
