Asked what motivated Steinhauser to invest in an automated waste handling solution, Rod Baehner explains:
“We had a trim system solution from another supplier in place for many years. However, as our press equipment grew in width and technical capabilities, we found that we had outgrown our previous system. In addition to the negative impact on production speeds, we found that in many cases, the system could not even handle certain types of waste. This forced our operators to wind and dispose of outside the system, negatively affecting our productivity and presenting a safety issue for our operations team.”
